Say ciao to Alphonsus Pizza at The Glen Hotel, now plating up delizioso Rosse, Bianche and dessert pizzas straight from two stunning Stefano Ferrara pizza ovens shipped direct from Naples, Italy and lifted into position at Eight Mile Plains.
The Stefano Ferrara ovens are built brick by brick, without using any prefabricated concrete slabs, following the old Neapolitan handmade tradition. Stefano Ferrara ovens easily reach and keep uniform the right temperature of 400°C-500°C for baking Neapolitan pizza.
A bright undercover al fresco dining area, complete with hanging gardens, welcomes customers to an uninterrupted view of the open kitchen with gleaming handmade brick pizza ovens and Alphonsus’ chief pizzaiolo Jim (James) Parker hard at work.
The classic Italian pizzas use only the freshest ingredients including Fior Di latte, spicy Italian pepperoni, prosciutto and fresh rosemary, and there are vegetarian and gluten free options available. But be sure to leave room for a Pizzette Dolci, hand stretched 9-inch dessert pizzas! See the new menu here.
A Bambino (kids) menu is now available across both The Deck and Alphonsus; and with the newly renovated children’s play area now open for action, The Glen is perfect for family outings!
The renovations also saw a complete refurbishment of the kitchens for both The Deck and Garden Grille Restaurant, and improvements to the dining areas across the whole venue, including a fully retractable roof over Alphonsus Pizza courtyard.
Bookings for large groups of 6 - 20 people can be made on The Deck between 11.30 am – 12.30pm for lunch seatings and between 5.30pm - 6.30pm for dinner seatings, with the booking held for 15 minutes from booking time. Please call and speak to Reception to book on 07 3270 6666 or online here.
